Ise Matca as a Pilot Case for our Regional Disocovery Model
当社は三重県伊勢地域の抹茶を、地域ブランド発掘モデルの第一号案件として選定しました。
世界市場における日本茶の認知は静岡や京都といった大産地に集中していますが、伊勢は歴史的に茶の産地でありながら海外での認知は限定的です。
当社は現地の生産者および製茶工程を直接確認し、品質管理体制・トレーサビリティ・長期協業可能性を検証した上で、小規模輸出を開始しました。本件は、国内に埋もれる高品質な地域ブランドを段階的に海外市場へ紹介する当社の「Discovery & Export」戦略の実証例です。
The company selected Ise matcha in Mie Prefecture as the first pilot case of its regional brand discovery initiative.
While global recognition of Japanese tea remains concentrated in major producing regions such as Shizuoka and Kyoto, Ise has historically been a tea-producing area with limited international exposure.
After conducting direct site visits to producers and evaluating quality control, traceability systems, and long-term partnership feasibility, the company initiated small-batch exports. This project represents a practical implementation of our “Discovery & Export” model — identifying overlooked premium regional products in Japan and introducing them to international markets through carefully scaled expansion.

丸中製茶は、三重県伊勢地方の茶園でお茶の栽培から製造・加工・販売までを一貫して行う老舗の緑茶メーカーです。自園で丁寧に育てられた茶葉を、着色・着香料を使わずに仕上げることで、美味しさと鮮度にこだわった伊勢茶を提供しています。煎茶、ほうじ茶、玄米茶、抹茶など多様な商品を取り扱い、地域の自然環境を活かしたお茶づくりを続けています。弊社は現地で生産者と直接連携することで品質を確認し、伊勢抹茶の米国展開を進めています。

The company manages tea production with a focus on quality and freshness, offering a range of products including sencha, hojicha, genmaicha, and matcha. Rooted in the natural environment of the Ise area, Marunaka Seicha continues to produce regional tea with careful attention to traditional methods. Shimizu International works directly with the producer to ensure quality and advance the international introduction of Ise matcha.
